More than firefighter sports.
We compete nationally and internationally, develop practical training programmes and organise our own events for firefighters and the next generation.
Team spirit, professional exchange and a shared commitment to continuous improvement are at the heart of what we do. Every project is developed and delivered entirely by volunteers, made possible through donations and the support of our non-profit association, Förderverein TFA-Team Hamburg e.V.

At FLORIAN – the trade fair for firefighting, civil protection and disaster control – we deliver a hands-on workshop by firefighters for firefighters, covering tools, techniques and controlled procedures using realistic training doors.
Putting the next generation centre stage.
Toughest Jugendfeuerwehr is our dedicated competition for youth fire brigades, combining teamwork, physical challenge and firefighter sports.

MAYDAY-Arena®
Breathing Apparatus Obstacle Course
A breathing apparatus obstacle course with a strong focus on resilience and body awareness, built around realistic breathing apparatus emergency scenarios. Developed in partnership with the Hamburg Fire Academy, it creates demanding, realistic and controlled training environments that prepare firefighters for critical situations where rapid, safe and potentially life-saving action is required under extreme physical and mental stress.
MaReC®
Mayday Rescue Challenge · Scientific Evaluation
MaReC® combines realistic breathing apparatus emergency scenarios with training in zero visibility, under time pressure and intense physical strain. The focus is on communication, decision-making and safe team performance under realistic conditions. In cooperation with Hamburg University of Applied Sciences (HAW Hamburg), the Challenge is scientifically monitored and evaluated to better understand stress, operational processes and team performance, and to translate those findings into practical insights for training, tactics and safety in breathing apparatus operations.
